As matchlock musketeers were converted into flintlock fusiliers—work that was largely finished by 1702–1703—the large shoulder-slung cartridge bag was replaced by a smaller wooden-block “belly box” (gargoussier or cartouche) worn on that waist belt, while a narrower shoulder strap often carried only the powder flask. Because captains and colonels still furnished much of their own equipment, the new box appeared first in the Guards and well-equipped line units and only gradually throughout the rest of the army, so both styles could be seen together well into the war.

The photo with the "blues" shows the contents of the pack. The other photos show sample figures from the resin range to show their quality.
