Anyone interested in the period will automatically associate the year 1685 with James II & VII's ascension to the throne and.... The Monmouth Rebellion. Anniversary post- Blindheim and.....

Lest I forget! Today is the anniversary of that 'dine out' Waterloo of the 18th century... The Battle of Blindheim. Giving acknowledgement to this great feat of arms is completely justified. It was an astounding and decisive victory.

Of the fourteen battalions present, the flags for only a few have been definitely identified over the years.
