First fruits of a very long labour - Scenarios for the War in Ireland 1688-1691
I started collecting the material for these scenarios over eight years ago and the more I dug, the more I found. I could never decide on the final public sharing of the content in terms of format. I had thought about a book but needed some other supportive content which has ended up in other projects. The success of the 4Play format finally helped me make up my mind and so I am delighted to...

Two Arab slavers observe the advance of 'al ainjiliz' through the jungle |
The first 'full scale' land battle of the campaign is about to be fought thirteen days of 40% of the way through. 200 English sailors accompanied by Berber PoWs now incorporated into Royalist ships' crews and some local Christian African villagers have moved inland to raid the Komban Royal enclosure.

Ottomans and Tatars to the left, Cossacks and Commonwealth to the right. |
Following on from the Candia Magnificence, my bijouterie lived next door at Newark, offering the Partizan audience an intense little corner of Turkish Delight which seemed to please them.

Field guns at Oldbridge |
We packed a helluva lot into four and a half days visiting Oldbridge, Donore, Duleek, Athlone, Aughrim, Portumna, Nena and Limerick. We spent long enjoyable days walking the fields, forts, castles and sites of the campaigns of 1690 and 1691 in Leinster, Connaught and Munster.

NOTE:...
Das Heer des Blauen Königs - The Bavarian Army
Clarence has produced a fantastic set of Bavarian infantry flags for the period 1680-1714. These were drawn partly from the portfolio of Das Heer des Blauen Königs Die Soldaten des Kurfürsten Max II. Emanuel von Bayern, 1682-1726 by Anton Hoffman.
He has also created a set of generic standards for cuirassier regiments. A fine addition to our range and now available in both the online stores of...

Too much? Aughrim all in one place
I make no apologies for the time, effort and focus I have directed on the Battle of Aughrim, July 12th 1691. Wargaming resources about the battle have increased steadily over the years as I have worked my way through.
There are eight uniform and regimental history pdfs for the entire Williamite Army available. These give detailed information of the complete order of battle for Ginckel's troops.

Kill Herbert! A Donnybrook 1691 production
I had fun making this. It is a Donnybrook scenario built around the mysterious death of Colonel Charles Herbert at the Battle of Aughrim on July 12th 1691. You can see the video here:
Herbert might be described in modern parlance as 'dangerous to know'. His death may have been at the hands of his own side. A chaotic rout provided the perfect cover for Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.
This game called K...
